Scuba Camp
Comes join us this summer for four days of Scuba fun! Monday through Thursday!
Children are the key to the future of SCUBA diving. Until now, they have never had the opportunity to be a solid part of the diving community. The Explorers Program was designed specially to welcome children into the community and keep them a part of it for the rest of their lives, while learning valuable life tools. The Explorers Program teaches children the knowledge and skills required to be a safe SCUBA diver - while encouraging them to have as much fun as possible! As a pool-only program, the SCUBA Explorers Program offers nearly all of the training and education that a regular Open Water Diver receives. Learning to scuba dive in the Scuba Explorers Program is the foundation on which children build self-confidence, discipline, and self-esteem. Participation in Explorers offers children the opportunity to learn more about the world around them, gain diving proficiency, be active in the scuba community, meet new and interesting people, and do things they never imagined possible! The SCUBA Explorers program is a unique program among youth sports. The SSI Explorers program allows children starting as young as eight to develop their knowledge as they begin to explore the underwater world.
Scuba Explorers is not a one-time experience, and students are free to sign up for additional class or come back next summer for next years camps!
When you sign up for the class, the Explorer book is included and is required for the camp, and you can choose to either recieve the book early, requesting it be mailed to you (there will be a shipping fee), or free to pick up at any time before the camp at our store. Otherwise the Explorer book can be picked up at the first day of the camp.

What To Do Before Camp:
Every student will need to register and create a profile in their own SSI Account, and will need an email address unassociated with any other SSI account, in order to activate their profile. Click here to register, or copy and paste this link into your browser: https://my.divessi.com/register. It’s important to select “Deep Blue Scuba” as your training center, and make a note of your SSI Master ID (or MID). You will be prompted to enter this information at checkout.

Create a diver profile at:https://my.divessi.com/register- Ensure that “Deep Blue Scuba” is selected as the Training Center.

Upload a photo clearly showing your face so that we can complete your recognition at the end of the class.

Print and complete the Diver Medical / Participant Questionnaire that will be emailed shortly after signing up for the camp.

If you recieved your Explorer book early, read Introduction (pg. 4), Blue Oceans Explorer (pg. 8), Snorkel Explorer (pg. 38), and Scuba Explorer (pg. 112) sections in your SSI Explorers book before coming to class.
What to Expect In Camp
Scuba Explorers will have 4 different pool/classroom sessions to complete the initial camp experience: Monday through Thursday for 3.5-4 hour sessions each day, with a break for snacks/lunch each day. Lunch will be provided for those participating in the Scuba Camp
What To Bring To Camp

Swimsuit and towel. Mask, snorkel boots and fins will be provided, but feel free to bring your own or puchase some from our store. Compressed air tanks, regulators, and buoyancy compensator device (BCD) will be provided and are included in the cost of the class.

Scuba Explorer book if you receieved it early.

Dry clothes to change into after class.
Price is $399 which includes the $90 Explorers handbook with digital certification.
Additional Information
Minimum Age: 8 years old for Scuba Explorer.
Swim Proficiency: Must be comfortable in the water, able to maintain buoyancy in water too deep to stand, and cross the short/cross length distance of the pool.
Academic Sessions: 4 sessions
Pool Dives: Pool / Confined Water only
Maximum Training Depth: 12 feet
Suggested Duration: 14 - 16 hours
